I'm proud of myself today.
I saved enough money to put a 7000.00 payment towards my student loan debt. It does sound like a lot, but in the realm where the debt is over 20 grand, it doesn’t really seem to make much if a dent… either way, only 17 grand to go!

My attempt to be healthy
Spending the last 2 days eating nothing but healthy food, avoiding buying food at work even when I’m starving, taking the stairs instead of the elevator even when I’m on the top floor, spending an hour working out at the gym… and then I get home and my mom says “We got pizza tonight, and we saved you 5 slices!” Needless to say I’m back to the beginning…

Always wired after shifts that end at 11.
There is way too much to think about in the mind of a nurse, things turn from bad to good in minutes, nothing ever goes according to plan, and people take their lives for granted. I entered perhaps one of the most emotionally rewarding and at the same time, emotionally draining professions in the world. Go me.

Why can't it feel at least a little like...
Usually I’m off school a few days before Christmas, and it finally kicks in that the holidays are here. Its kinda upsetting when you have to work the 3 days before Christmas, and a day after… My Christmas spirit will thus last the 7 hours I don’t work on Christmas day. Yay.
I'm becoming an unintentional vegetarian
I guess thats what happens when the only meal you’ve ever eaten meat at was dinner, and for the past 6 days, dinner has been at work and consisted of prepared foods that I could throw together in a minute to run out the door.
